I just sat down with Autodesk and I am excited to team up with such an established company. Our class will have the opportunity to test out some software before it is released to the general public. Now that’s cool!
I learned Autodesk when I was still a college student, many years ago, so I look forward to trying out their new software alongside my students. I will be going to a training on 3D printing next week so i can implement it into our curriculum. This is fun and exciting stuff!
And last week I took my MSEL Engineering Class to Energy Recovery in San Leandro, California. We got to look around the facility and my students had the chance to see how real engineers work. It was an amazing experience. 100% real life! The students loved it and made comments like, “I want to work here!” The tour went through the entire design process and showed the importance of following such an established process. Energy Recovery was an awesome host! They fed us lunch and even played the students in a ping-pong match while we ate! Who knew ping-pong at lunch would be so attractive? This may need to be implemented on campus. 🙂
